Hi, I’m Sara!

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT, CERTIFIED LACTATION COUNSELOR, MENOPAUSE SOCIETY CERTIFIED PROVIDER, MOTHER OF THREE, AND OWNER OF MADE TO MOTHER LACTATION, PLLC.

I know first hand how challenging breastfeeding can be and that pregnancy and postpartum is such a transformative and vulnerable time in a woman’s life.

Between my 3 girls, I have 3 years (and counting) of experience with nursing and pumping, including juggling breastfeeding and working full-time in medicine.

Using my personal breastfeeding experience and my professional expertise caring for women as a PA since 2017 + supporting breastfeeding mothers as a CLC since 2021, I created Made to Mother Lactation PLLC to serve and support breastfeeding mothers and babies just like you and yours.

And while caring for breastfeeding families has a big part of my heart, I’m also very passionate about perimenopause / menopause care! I have been serving women in this capacity since I entered into women’s health in 2021, and officially became a Menopause Society Certified Provider in 2024.

It is an honor to care for you!

What patients are saying:

FAQs

  • I specialize in women’s health with a focus on two key areas: lactation support for new and growing families and menopause care for women navigating midlife changes. In addition to my experience caring for patients as a PA since 2017, I also hold specialized certifications in each of these areas. Whether you’re welcoming a baby or experiencing hormonal transitions, I provide personalized medical care, education, and support.

  • Yes, I accept certain insurance plans. Currently I am in-network with BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Cigna, and United HealthCare. Please check with your insurance plan directly to confirm coverage. For those without coverage, I offer straightforward self-pay rates and provide a superbill.

  • Both options are available. Lactation support visits are often much more comprehensive when we meet in person, although certain things like planning to return to work or weaning are easily done via telehealth. Menopause-related visits can often be done via secure telehealth with ease, as well, but I love meeting my patients in person when they’re able or prefer to!

  • Appointments can be scheduled online through my booking page or by contacting me directly via email.

  • Your first visit will be thorough. I’ll take time to understand your history, your goals, and your current challenges. We’ll work together to create a personalized plan that fits your needs and values.
